TPL Insurance becomes JazzSure as Jazz builds its insurance arm
Three months after Jazz took a 76.33 percent stake, the listed insurer has a new name and a role as underwriter for JazzCash and FikrFree.

TPL Insurance Limited has been renamed JazzSure Insurance Limited. The change took effect on 7 October 2026, and JazzWorld announced it publicly on 9 October.
Jazz International Holding Limited, a subsidiary of VEON, bought a 76.33 percent controlling stake in TPL Insurance in July 2026, according to ProPakistani. The rename is the next step in folding the insurer into JazzWorld, the group's digital services arm.
According to the company statement, JazzSure will be the underwriting engine behind insurance sold through JazzCash and FikrFree. JazzWorld says it wants to link underwriting with digital sales, so customers can find cover, buy a policy and manage it in one place.
Existing customers will continue to be served, the company said. Aamir Ibrahim is CEO of JazzWorld and chairman of JazzSure. Muhammad Aminuddin is CEO of JazzSure. Mr Ibrahim said in the statement that expanding access to financial protection is an important part of Jazz's continued evolution.
“Our existing customers remain central to JazzSure.”
Shareholders approved the new name at an extraordinary general meeting on 2 October, according to stock exchange filings summarised by FinHisaab. The same summary says the company asked the exchange to change its trading symbol from TPLI. We have not checked the original filings.
The move shows where Pakistani insurtech is heading. Mobile wallet and telecom groups, which already reach millions of users, are buying licensed insurers rather than only selling other companies' policies. In July, JazzWorld also won the Best InsurTech award at the International Insurance Conference 2026, according to ProPakistani.
