Forbes has named Maheera Ghani to its 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list in the Healthcare and Science category. Her Forbes profile, last updated on 27 May 2026, lists her as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge and says she graduated from Cambridge with a PhD in materials science in 2025 and now works on ultra thin semiconductors.
The profile also cites her leadership of WinSci Pakistan, the education project that won the Nature Inspiring Women in Science award from The Estée Lauder Companies and Springer Nature in October 2025 for encouraging women to pursue science careers.
Arab News reported on 28 May 2026 that the list had been released that Thursday and that Ghani was one of seven Pakistanis on it, alongside actor Hania Aamir and filmmaker Saman Kamran among others. ProPakistani and Daily Pakistan carried similar reports on 30 May. This is the eleventh edition of the Forbes Asia list, which covers ten categories. The Cambridge department has not yet commented publicly on the listing, and Ghani has given no interview about it that this magazine could find.
